Winter Party Festival Prepares for 30th Anniversary Celebration

Winter Party Festival is an annual, week-long celebration of music, dance, and community, produced by the National LGBTQ Task Force to raise critical funds for the LGBTQ movement. This year’s festivities mark the 30th anniversary of the event which is taking place March 1-7, 2023 in Miami Beach.

Founded in 1994, the original Winter Party featured a single event: a dance party on the beach. It was an instant hit, and Winter Party has grown ever since, becoming an iconic week-long festival featuring dozens of events and drawing crowds by the thousands from around the globe.

And while organizers want attendees to cut loose and have a good time, their underlying purpose is much larger than the festival itself. Winter Party is first and foremost a fundraising venture produced by, and in support of, the National LGBTQ Task Force. The Task Force donates a significant portion of the proceeds raised at Winter Party and its sister event, the Task Force Gala, to like-minded community advocacy groups in South Florida, through a grant-making process administered by the LGBTQ Community Fund of The Miami Foundation. Since 2005, they’ve donated more than $3.3 million and supported nearly 90 community organizations in South Florida.
