W Bogota Offers New Pride Suite by MAC Cosmetics

For Pride Month, hotels are creating fun experiences to make queer travelers feel welcome, like the W Bogota creating the Pride Suite by M·A·C Cosmetics.  It’s the first time the unique suite has been created in Latin America for Pride Month.

LGBTQ+ guests can book the “Loud & Proud” Package, which includes a stay in the Pride Suite at the W Bogota for a group of up six of your besties. The Pride Suite is only available on Fridays and Saturdays in June as well as on July 1 and 2, 2022.

In addition to the Pride Suite, guests will have access to an exclusive make-up class with a M·A·C Cosmetics professional in one of the hotel suites while enjoying cocktails and snacks inspired by the celebration of pride.

The 90-minute make-up session includes the necessary materials for the class, where a pro will guide participants on the correct techniques to achieve the ultimate Pride look.

“We have always been a loud and proud part of the LGBTIQA+ community since 1984 – and we have never stopped. We want to celebrate the pride of this great community with the lipstick that donates 100% of its profits,” said Carolina Guerrero, Brand Manager M·A·C Colombia LDM.

Participants – a group of guests and friends – will also be able to enjoy the Linner (night brunch) with food stations from the Lounge to the Jairo restaurant that will include a variety of national and international dishes wrapped in colorful neon lights. In addition to gastronomy, guests will be able to taste a variety of cocktails, listen to live DJs and capture the best moments with Instagram-worthy pictures.

“The launch of the Pride Suite and the experiences that we will have in property, as well as the donation of part of the sales of our ‘Loud & Proud’ and ‘Love Out Loud’ packages to the Amor Real Foundation, are actions in this sense,” said Gustavo Lovera, General Manager of W Bogota.

In addition, the W Bogota launched a package called ‘Love Out Loud’, which includes a stay for 2 adults, two special welcome cocktails, and colorful amenities alluding to Pride, including a M·A·C Cosmetics makeup kit. This package is available until the end of June.

The most important part of these packages is that for the sale of each ‘Loud & Proud’ experience and each ‘Love Out Loud’ package, the hotel will donate $50,000 to the Amor Real Foundation with local LGBTQ+ social activist Diamantina Arcoiris leading the non-profit organization.  The hotel wanted to recognize the work of the organization, which not only helps homeless people, including people from the LGBTQ+ community but also opens a path for engaging in social and work-related opportunities.

In case you didn’t know, Marriott International – the parent company of W Hotels – has shown a commitment to Pride, diversity, and inclusion for years. In 2014, Marriot launched the #LoveTravels campaign with a powerful message of acceptance by telling the stories of diverse travelers. The campaign represents the company’s belief that travel is the catalyst for peace and inclusiveness.

In addition to the #LoveTravels campaign, Marriott International was one of the first hotel chains to offer equal benefits for same-sex couples in the United States, and in 2018 became the first global hotel company to endorse the landmark United Nations LGBTQ+ Standards of Business Conduct, designed to address worldwide discrimination against people in the LGBTQ+ community. So, it’s no surprise that Marriott International has maintained a perfect 100% score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI).
