Velvet Ibiza Returns as Europe’s Ultimate Party for Queer Women

Velvet Ibiza will celebrate its 7th anniversary this year, taking its festivities to the next level. Scheduled from May 2- 7, 2023, the epic party for queer women is an all-inclusive five-day/five-night party set on the idyllic, pine-covered isle of Ibiza, Spain, a popular travel destination for lesbians and queer women, who enjoy visiting for a rejuvenating and life-changing experience.

Velvet Ibiza’s producer and creator Carine De Mesmaeker is also the mastermind behind Velvet 69 in Brussels, Belgium. Surprisingly, Velvet Ibiza made history in its inception year as the first queer women’s event held on the small Balearic island famously known for its LGBTQ-friendly culture, its vibrant nightlife scene, and celebrity sightings.

The event attracts a vastly diverse and international crowd with LGBTQ+ women traveling from around the globe for one giant celebration of community.

The all-inclusive nature of the event creates a safe and unique environment that imparts a palpable sense of belonging and freedom. Each ticket includes a 5-night stay in a bungalow, all daily meals, day and night activities & parties, transportation from the airport to the resort, and all your drinks covered till 11 pm.

At Velvet Ibiza, there is no need to venture anywhere. The party is literally on your doorstep as De Mesmaeker rents out the entire resort just for the event. Having everything in one place is key for this passionate and devoted event producer who strives to create a great community vibe that allows people to organically connect.

From pool parties, sports tournaments, yoga classes, club nights, and the infamous duck race to the top queer female DJs from Europe and America dropping the sickest beats – Velvet Ibiza has it all!

The host hotel Club Cala Martina, the location of the historical Hippie Market – one of the few places in Ibiza where you can still enjoy the laid-back and peaceful hippie vibe and culture. It was founded in 1973 and for that reason it is currently the largest and oldest market on the island.

A second hotel, Paraiso Beach, has also been retained for the event. Paraiso Beach is a 4-star boutique hotel and only a 5-foot walk from the Cala Martina, but you will need to book fast, there are but 20 rooms available!
