Star Wars Celebration Returns to London After 7 Years

Grab your favorite Wookie and set those blasters to stun, hunty! The Star Wars Celebration is set to make its triumphant return to London in 2023!

For those unfamiliar, the four-day event is filled with major announcements, immersive exhibits, an interactive show floor, screenings, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, panels, autograph sessions, fan-inspired activities, costumes, and other surprises celebrating all things Star Wars

During the closing ceremony of Star Wars Celebration 2022 in Anaheim, California, Lucasfilm revealed that the event would be making a glorious return to Europe in 2023. The return next year will mark the celebration’s 7 years of absence, with the event last having been in London in 2016. At that time, the celebration was promoting Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Star Wars Celebration 2023 will coincide with the 40-year anniversary of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, which came out May 25 1983 in the US, and June 2 in the UK.

The next Star Wars Celebration will take place at the ExCel Exhibition Centre and will be open from April 7 to 10.

This year the celebration focused mostly on the release of Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, bringing back familiar faces such as Ewan McGregor as the titular character, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. Both actors were at the event, as well as newcomer Moses Ingram, who plays Inquisitor Reva, a character sworn to track Obi-Wan down.

However, there were plenty of updates and reveals too, from the release date of Andor to the reveal of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. By the time the celebration happens in London, The Mandalorian Season 3 will have already aired, leaving us with one question: what comes next? It looks like fans will have to wait until April 2023 to find out.
