Hotels Offer Special Christmas Packages or Suites

For LGBTQ+ travelers looking for a special way to celebrate the holidays, perhaps you should consider checking into the Wailea Beach Resort in Maui, Topnotch Resort in Stowe, Vermont, or the French Quarter Inn in Charleston, South Carolina. Check out these unique holiday offerings below!

Wailea Beach Resort (Maui, Hawaii)

For a feel-good and tropical Christmas, the Wailea Beach Resort in Maui offers guests the chance to meet Kris Kringle with a Hawaiian twist: in the sand as he arrives on the shores of Maui via canoe. Guests will also enjoy an “elf” parade with milk and cookies, daily Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunts, wood ornament-making classes, pineapple carving, sugar cookie, donut and gingerbread decorating, holiday Hula, a mermaid meet-and-greet, story time with Mrs. Claus and more.

An added bonus to help with Maui’s recovery, the “Return to Maui: Travel with Heart” package donates $100 of each stay to supporting Hawaii Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund. The package includes a $100 resort credit and a daily breakfast buffet for two.

Topnotch Resort (Stowe, Vermont)

The O’ Christmas Tree Package from Topnotch Resort in Stowe, Vt. is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season, with luxury overnight accommodations and a wagon ride through a tree farm to find the perfect tree that, once cut, is professionally wrapped, packaged and loaded onto the car for the drive home. The package is available for bookings made through Dec. 21, with rates starting at $309 per night at the hotel and $380 for a resort home.

Topnotch guests will also enjoy the award-winning Topnotch Spa, an indoor pool and Jacuzzi with a cascading waterfall, the Topnotch Tennis Academy, sleigh rides via the Equestrian Center, and Mountain Ops Outdoor Gear can outfit for any activity. Enjoy a special cocktail or s’mores around the outdoor fire pits or relax in the heated adults-only pool and Jacuzzi with unobstructed views of Mount Mansfield.

French Quarter Inn (Charleston, South Carolina)

The French Quarter Inn in Charleston has a festive Sleigh Bell Suite available throughout December that features upscale décor including a Christmas tree, mistletoe, and garlands with red, green, and gold accents. The suite also features an in-room eggnog bar, a selection of freshly-baked cookies with milk (best enjoyed while cozied up next to the fireplace in the suite’s foyer), classic holiday movie screenings, and on Christmas Eve a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas from Santa along with the melodies of Christmas carolers. Guests will also receive a special ornament and a copy of Charleston native Darius Rucker’s Christmas album “Home for the Holidays.”

The Sleigh Bell Suite includes a $100 donation, made on behalf of guests, to Rucker’s preferred philanthropic organization St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and French Quarter Inn will match this $100 donation for every suite booking.
