Every Saturday 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm through April, guests can indulge in sweet and savory fare while sipping on hand-crafted teas, coffees, and cocktails. Artist Maggie O’Neill Celebrates Former First Ladies in Newly Refreshed Opaline Bar & Brassiere

Sofitel DC has unveiled their newly refreshed, Parisian-inspired Opaline Bar & Brasserie featuring local Washingtonian artist Maggie O’Neill’s paintings of former First Ladies, such as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. O’Neill is known for her iconic impressionistic artwork highlighting famous Washington, DC landmarks and leaders. She was called to personally present her painting to Barack Obama to then-President Obama!

O’Neill comments about her latest First Ladies collection: “The power of women and women in power is a large focus of my work and storytelling is my goal. I hope my vibrant and colorful depictions of these women spark curiosity and conversations around their lives, legacy, and historical impact.”
