New Pride in London Shop Has More Than Merchandise
A new pop-up Pride in London shop – located in the heart of the city’s Soho neighborhood – is already welcoming patrons into the colorfully decorated safe space to buy Pride merchandise, educate locals and tourists about the LGBTQ+ community, and provide a space for Pride-goers to relax their weary bones.
Locals and tourists can stop by the new shop to pick up Pride souvenirs, including t-shirts and water bottles, but it also has a cozy living room with comfy sofas for customers to unwind and socialize.
“People from across the community united, helping to create the space. Our store is a community hub for LGBT+ individuals and groups to meet and socialize in a safe environment,” said Edward Charlton-Hassal, deputy head of retail and merchandise at Pride in London. “I have worked in the retail industry for the best part of 10 years, and I have never seen such passion for a project come together.”
Just FYI, the new pop-up Pride store is located at 15-17 Fouberts Place just off of Carnaby Street. All profits raised from the store will go to Pride in London’s Unity Fund which directly supports LGBTQ+ community projects and individuals.
