Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend Returns!
The 2022 Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend will go ahead as planned even though Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser tightened COVID-19 restrictions. Members of the Centaur Motorcycle Club, the host organization, voted on Sunday to proceed with the annual event, scheduled on Jan. 14-17.
“We acknowledge that it is each individual’s personal choice to attend the Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend 2022,” the Centaur MC wrote in a statement on the official MAL website. “More details are to come and will include any additional rules, restrictions, or other changes to help make the weekend as safe and fun as possible.”
For people who have purchased a Registration Package, they can email BoxOffice Tickets at service@boxofficetickets.com for a refund. Tickets cannot be transferred to a future MAL weekend, but the purchaser can transfer their package to another person (21 or older) by emailing BoxOffice Tickets, who is also waiving the cancellation fee.
A Registration Package includes:
– Access to the Exhibit Hall for All Three Days
– Leather Cocktails with Open Bar & Food
– Sunday Brunch (All You Can Eat)
– Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather Contest
– Closing Dance Party on Sunday
– Shuttle Transportation to the Closing Dance Party
– Priority Access for Host Hotel Lobby
– Souvenir Wristband and Run Pin
– Discounted T-Shirt Cost for Pre-Registration
The Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill, the host hotel, will refund the entire room amount to guests who decide to cancel attending MAL. You will get your one-night deposit back, but again, this only applies to the Hyatt Regency.
Attendees must be fully vaccinated to attend one of the LGBTQ leather community’s oldest events. Masks will be mandatory at all indoor venues during the event unless guests are actively eating or drinking. Click here for more information about DC’s COVID-19 Health Guidelines.
Visit the MAL website for more information about scheduled events including the Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather Contest, parties, and a list of vendors scheduled to appear at the Exhibit Hall a.k.a. the Leather Market.
