Little Gay Pub Slated to Become Newest LGBTQ Bar in DC

If all goes well, Little Gay Pub will open its doors to customers this Spring, making it the 15th gay bar in the Washington, DC area.  Located two blocks from Logan Circle, the new bar has an outdoor patio that could seat as many as 70 people.

So, who are the people behind Little Gay Pub? Its owners are business partners Dito Sevilla, longtime bartender and bar manager at Dito’s Bar located inside Floriana Restaurant on 17th Street near Dupont Circle; Dusty Martinez, former general manager at the gay bar Trade; and Benjamin Gander, former general manager of the gay bar Number 9. Both Trade and Number 9 are located in the Logan Circle neighborhood, too!

The bar will be located on the first floor of the building at 1100 P Street NW with plans for “comfortable customized leather seats,” an elegant marble top bar, artwork on the walls, and a “delicious selection of crisps, snacks, and warm munchies ideally suited to accompany the cocktail or beverage of your choice,” according to the statement released by the owners.

Obtaining a D.C. liquor license and the approval process could be delayed by a month or two more if residents in the building next door or the Advisory Neighborhood Commission with jurisdiction over the Logan Circle area file a protest to block the license and a negotiated “settlement agreement” cannot be reached with the ANC, according to the Washington Blade

We’re pulling for Little Gay Pub’s smooth opening… soon! We know there’s a large enough LGBTQ+ community in DC that it will be just as successful nearby bars Number 9 and Trade.
