Where to Play/Celebrate Miami Beach PRIDE
Lincoln Road
Don’t miss this chance to celebrate love and acceptance through stunning works of art on Lincoln Road. This year, in honor of Pride Month, the iconic street will host an innovative art installation by artist Facundo Yebne of FLY Miami Art. From March 27 through June 30, visitors can experience two resin sculptures adorned with colorful rubber ducks that invite reflection on love, unity and resilience.

The first sculpture, the heart-shaped “Proud Love,” celebrates the courage to love openly and stand proud in a world that often seeks to silence individuality. The second sculpture, “UnityBeak,” composed of thousands of small ducks that unite to form a larger, more powerful figure, represents how love, community and solidarity can create something far greater than the sum of its parts. Both sculptures are a powerful addition to Miami Beach’s cultural landscape during Miami Beach Pride through Pride Month.
Where to Stay Along Ocean Drive/Parade Route
The Betsy South Beach
The Miami Beach Pride parade will begin on Fifth Street along Ocean Drive and travel to 15th Street, ending in front of The Betsy, a recognized Michelin Key oceanfront boutique resort. As part of the celebration, the hotel’s historic façade will be illuminated with colorful art projections. “The Betsy Orb,” the iconic egg-shaped architectural masterpiece that serves as a functional bridge connecting the hotel’s two buildings, will also be transformed into a glowing beacon of pride.

Beyond Miami Beach Pride, The Betsy is dedicated to year-round inclusivity, with LGBTQ+ artists’ works prominently displayed throughout the property. For example, “The Poetry Rail,” a striking installation featuring poetry etched into metal by water jets, honors 12 poets who have significantly shaped Miami’s history and culture. Among these voices are powerful LGBTQ+ advocates and writers, including Richard Blanco, the fifth presidential inaugural poet in U.S. history, whose work champions diversity, LGBTQ+ rights, immigration rights and arts education. Also celebrated is Julie Marie Wade, a poet and Florida International University professor whose essay was a finalist for the 2024 Lambda Literary Award in LGBTQ+ Nonfiction.

Photos: Andy Sweet
The Betsy also honors Miami Beach’s iconic Ocean Drive from the ’70s and ’80s through the photography of Andy Sweet, displayed in The Piano Bar. A Miami Beach native, Sweet captured a transformative era for the community – especially the LGBTQ+ population and older Jewish immigrants, many of whom were Holocaust survivors. Through his pioneering color photography, Sweet immortalized the lives, struggles and triumphs of these minority communities, preserving their stories for future generations.

Where to Dine

LT Steak & Seafood and The Piano Bar at The Betsy
After the Miami Beach Pride parade, fuel up at either of two incredible dining destinations at the Michelin Key Betsy Hotel – LT Steak & Seafood or The Piano Bar – perfectly placed at the end of the parade route. LT Steak & Seafood offers a menu curated by acclaimed Chef Laurent Tourondel, blending global flavors from Latin America, Asia and France. Known for its prime-cut meats and fresh seafood, the restaurant serves a diverse “New American” menu in a casually elegant, airy indoor dining space. Prefer a laid-back bar ambience to keep the festivities going?
Check the adjacent Piano Bar where guests can sip signature cocktails like the Spring Sangria, a refreshingly fruity sangria that’s almost as colorful as Pride itself. Made with Rose vodka, Germaine elderflower liquor, Hampton Water rośe wine, lemon juice and cold-pressed watermelon juice, the Spring Sangria is an ideal way to “cheers” to Pride. Pair it with light bites from LT Steak & Seafood in the bar’s Old Havana vibe, with lush green palm trees, warm woods and rotating art displays. As the host of Miami Beach’s longest-running live series, The Piano Bar’s ongoing live jazz performances (nine times per week), makes it a premier spot to soak in the celebration.
