Ibiza Gran Hotel: Summer Getaway in Spain

LGBTQ+ travelers looking for a lively island getaway may want to consider a stay at the luxurious Ibiza Gran Hotel, renowned for its exceptional service, outstanding culinary venues, its celebration of contemporary art, and its relaxed atmosphere. After two years of disrupted business due to the pandemic, the five-star hotel is open for business.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Ibiza’s “golden mile,” across from the island’s most glamourous marinas and a short walk to Talamanca beach, high-end designer shops, and famed nightlife. Open April through October, the all-suite hotel has four restaurants, the only casino on the island, two pools, and an award-winning spa. This hotel also features 185 contemporary, loft-style suites boasting exceptional views of the Bay of Ibiza, Dalt Villa (Ibiza’s old town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and Formentera.

Here’s what LGBTQ+ guests can expect when they check into the hotel this summer:

New Michelin Star Cuisine
The Ibiza Gran Hotel’s flagship restaurant, La Gaia by Óscar Molina, was awarded its first Michelin star in December 2021. The property is the first and only hotel on the island to be awarded this prestigious accolade. Chef Molina combines Ibizan flavors with the sophisticated approach to dining adopted in Japan, with a focus on local and sustainable ingredients.

Summer 2022’s Hottest New Restaurants
This luxurious hotel will unveil several new culinary experiences this summer to join its existing all-star line-up of La Gaia and Cipriani. The newest location of Zuma will open this summer and offer a sophisticated twist on the traditional Japanese Izakaya style of informal dining. Additional onsite dining options opening this summer include a new extension of the famous Park Chinois in London and Asal, a dining experience with a creative vision spearhead by international designer, David Alayeto of Dream Up Design.

New Signature Experiences
Hotel guests are encouraged to explore the entire island with bespoke packages and private experiences. Go diving with National Geographic marine expert and photographer Manu San Félix, explore hidden coves along the coastline on a llaut, a traditional sailing boat, or get lost among the vines at Ibiza’s first organic winery followed by a customized tasting menu at La Gaia paired with wine picked by the hotel’s expert sommelier.

Indulge in Self-Care and Wellness Treatments
Who doesn’t like a nice wellness retreat? Well, the 14,000 square-foot Open Spa offers a complete menu of massages, beauty treatments, and wellness rituals, including a hydrotherapy circuit with heated pools, cold plunge pool, Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, aroma shower, saline inhalation baths, and more.

Explore More the 400 Works of Art
This hotel is also home to a stunning collection of art comprising more than 400 works by contemporary artists from all over the world, created specifically for the hotel. The collection revolves around five elements – earth, air, life, water, and sky – which have inspired the décor of each of the hotel’s five floors to create a unique Mediterranean ambiance. Guests can tour the art collection followed by a private tour of the iconic Studio Micus.
