People visit Nepal primarily for its stunning natural beauty, including the Himalayas with Mount Everest, diverse wildlife in national parks like Chitwan, a rich cultural heritage with ancient temples and monasteries, the birthplace of Buddha in Lumbini, and opportunities for trekking, mountaineering, and adventure activities, all within a welcoming and friendly local population. This year, Yadab Devkota, Team leader of Pink Mountain Travels and Excursions, shared details of two big trips for you to consider. Here are the itineraries:
Best of Nepal Tour
Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuvan international airport. Our representative will greet you at the arrival gate and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02: After breakfast, at 7.30 am, proceed to tour UNESCO’s world heritage site of Kathmandu, including Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath stupa.
Or, We can start our morning with a Mountain flight to Everest region by regular flight or chartered a private helicopter which allows you to land at Everest Base Camp or Kala Patthar (optional tour/extra cost).
Visit Pashupatinath Temple including open funeral sites where dead bodies are cremated as per Hindu rituals on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Visit Tilopa and Naropa Caves. Visit Kirateshwar and Guheshwori Goddess temple.
After Pashupatinath, we proceed to Boudhanath. We will visit Shechen, Setu Gumpa and more. Lunch at Boudhanath Stupa. Alternatively first doing Boudhanath and then visiting Pashupati for the Aarati ceremony this day.

Lunch at Boudhanath. Tour to Swayambhunath stupa, known as Monkey Temple, and if time allows us, Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square too.
Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu. Early in the morning after breakfast, we will proceed to go to Bandipur, as Kathmandu is a little bit hectic and crowded.
Day 03: After breakfast, 7:00 AM, start our driving to Bandipur (about 4 and half hours), Queens of the hills.
We can do Rafting at Trishuli River, if you wish to do so.
Check into the Hotel in Bandipur. Lunch at a local Newari restaurant.
Tour to Tindhare, Tundikhel, Thani mai temple and explore the local life. Overnight at a hotel in Bandipur.
Day 04: After breakfast, we will go hiking to visit Ramkot, local Magar People’s village and a beautiful view station. We will see local ethnic tribal community people, their culture and lifestyle.
Hiking back. Rest.
Day 05: Early morning at 5:45, wake up. Hiking up (30min) to Basantapur view station.
Back to the hotel. Breakfast. Drive to Pokhara (3 hours). Check into the Hotel at Pokhara. Short tour to the banks of Phewa lake.
Lunch. Boating on Phewa lake. Tour to the city side. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.
Day 06: Early morning drive to Shiva stupa for a beautiful sunrise view (traditionally, we used to go to Sarangkot hill station, but after the construction of Shiva stupa in 2022, which is situated 300m higher than Sarangkot, we used to bring our clients to this viewpoint).
Back to the hotel. Breakfast. Hiking to Pumdi Bhumdi’s world peace pagoda from the bank of the phewa lake. Lunch.
Tour to Mahadev Cave, Davis Falls, Tibetan Refugee handicraft center. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.
Day 07: Two options:
Can Go Hiking for 4 /5 days to Annapurna foothills or continue the tour to Lumbini.
If you choose to go for tour: After breakfast, we went to Kaskikot,touring the local people’s village. Talking with local people. Watching their traditional life and culture.
Day 08: After breakfast, drive or fly to Lumbini. Check into the hotel.
Lunch.
Tour to Mayadevi temple, exact birthplace of Buddha. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: After breakfast, Tour to 43 monasteries of Theravada Buddhism and Mahayana Buddhism sector.
Can do couples of hour meditation.
Day 10: After breakfast, drive to Kapilvastu for a tour to Nigrodharama, Gotihawa niglihawa, Tilaurakot palace and twin stupa.
Back to Lumbini.
Overnight at the hotel Lumbini.
Day 11: After breakfast, drive to Chitwan national park. Check into Hotel. Lunch.
Tour to local tharu village. Elephant birthing center. Overnight at the hotel jungle Crown resort.
Day 12: After breakfast, proceed to join the jeep safari tour to the national park for about one and half hours to two hours. Lunch.
Kayaking. Jungle walking. Back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: After breakfast, drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
After our arrival at Kathmandu, Check into a hotel at Kathmandu. Lunch.
Rest. Relaxation. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu .
Then use another full day for Svayambhunath, do the long kora (around the foot of the hill), then visit Brijeshwari temple, and then the Itumbahal complex in Thamel. That could also work well with Kathmandu Durbar Square and extra Thamel time.
Day 14: After breakfast, Drive to Bhaktapur Durbar square, where you can be an eye witness of thangka painting, live pottery making and woodcraft.
Roaming around the city including Red Tara Temple.
After Bhaktapur, we go to visit Patan Durbar square including the Patan Durbar museum, Patan Mahabodhi temple and Golden temple.
At Patan, where we can see craftsmanship of metal arts. You can see how traditional artists are continuing their family profession and making a statue of God and goddess.
Drive back to the Hotel. Can have Gay Spa therapy (payable directly to the therapist). Farewell Dinner.
Day 15: Early morning after breakfast, we go to visit Swayambhunath stupa aka monkey temple. Back to heritage trail tour to Na:Gha: Asan and the old settlement of Kathmandu including.
Roaming around the city. If you want to do some souvenir shopping for family and friends, you can do it, Ask Pink Mountain’s guide for local assistance on it
Transfer to the airport for international flight as per your flight schedule.

Tibet Overland Tour
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Passport handover to Pink Mountain Travels and Excursions’s staff fir special visa and permit for Tibet.
Day 02: Tour the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kathmandu Valley.
Day 03/04: Fly or drive to Pokhara, the city of the lake. Tour to Pokhara.
Day 05: Back to Kathmandu. Prepare for Tibet trip
Day 06: Kathmandu (1300) – Keung Border (145 Km)
Day 06-07: Overnight Keung on Tibet side
Early in the Morning, a scenic drive to Kerung Border Nepal Tibet Border through the beautiful Nepalese countryside. After necessary border formalities at Nepali immigration and crossing the bridge process necessary Chinese immigration, continue the drive to Keung Town at Hotel Kerung Hotel.
Day 07: Kerung – Tingri (4300m) / Lhatse (4,350m): 235 km 5-6 Hours
After Breakfast, drive uphill to the height plateau of the world with the typical view of the Tibetan landscape, offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world from where weather permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges, including Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Mt. Xishapangma (8,012m) on the way see to Pikucho lake overnight at Hotel.
Day 08: Tingri – Shigatse (3,900 M): 245 Km 5-6 Hours
After breakfast, continue to drive scenic crossing over Gyatchu La (5,220m), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse, from where a road to Mt. Kailash Bifurcates to the west. Stay overnight at Hotel Yak Hotel.
Day 09: Shigatse – Gyantse (3,950m); Lhasa 350km
After Breakfast; Morning Sightseeing to the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhunpo Monastery. Drive to Lhasa via Gyantse Yamdrok — Tso Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahmaputra (Yarlung Tsangpo). Stay Overnight at Hotel In Lhasa Yak hotel.
Day 10-11: Sightseeing in Lhasa
After Breakfast Two full days sightseeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries Hotel Yak Hotel.
Day 12: Lhasa to Shergar; Drive Back O/N at Guest House; 655 Km 8-9 Hours
Day 08: Shegar – Kerong to Kathmandu 425 km 9-10 Hours.
