Gay Wine Weekend Returns to Sonoma Wine Country
If you’re an LGBTQ+ wine connoisseur, then you should consider heading out to California for Out In The Vineyard’s Gay Wine Weekend 2023! The special wine weekend will take place July 14-16 in the majestic Sonoma California Wine Country.
Loyal attendees will notice that this year’s festivities are moving a bit further north as opposed to previous years:
“We have been hosting Gay Wine Weekend in Sonoma Valley for the past decade,” says Owner, Gary Saperstein. “We are now excited to share the news that Gay Wine Weekend has been invited to spread the cheer with our neighbors and friends to the north in Healdsburg, Russian River Valley, and more! Sharing more of ‘our’ Wine Country with our LGBTQ+ community and allies will be exciting!”
The event’s premiere sponsor, La Crema Estate & Winery, will host the Twilight T-Dance, the signature event of the three-day weekend. As such, an assortment of the estate’s wines will be featured at the dance taking place in Richard’s Grove, one of the most stunning Wine Country settings.
Vintners Resort in Santa Rosa is once again partnering with Out In The Vineyard for this beloved event and serving as the host hotel for guests of Gay Wine Weekend. The event will be taking over the entire resort for the duration of the festivities. Bookings are now open for reservations.
As for the event itself, it includes three full days of LGBT activities in Northern California’s magnificent Sonoma & Napa Valleys – home to some of the world’s most prestigious wine & wineries. You’re invited to celebrate with world-class wine and culinary delights, VIP receptions, wine-tasting excursions, a drag queen brunch & wine auction, and the signature T Dance.
New this year is the creation of two VIP Ticket Packages, which are now on sale. The ‘Magnum VIP Package’ includes all official events along with a Winemaker Dinner and Winery Tour of your choice. The ‘VIP Party Pass Package’ includes all the parties over the course of the weekend, excluding the winemaker dinners and winery tours.
This year’s event will once again benefit Face to Face, the Sonoma County HIV/AIDS Network. Now in its 40th year, the organization provides care services to people living with HIV, works towards HIV prevention, and has testing services for HIV and Hepatitis C. Over the past ten years Out in the Vineyard has raised $500,000.00 for the charity.
