Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus Announces Holiday Spectacular

This vibrant throwback show opens on Friday, December 6, at 8 p.m. at the Harris Theater, with additional dates on Sunday, December 8 at 3 p.m. at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie and Thursday, December 12, at 7:30 p.m. at the Beverly Arts Center.

Totally ’80s HoliGAY promises to deliver a nostalgic journey through the music, colors, and style of the 1980s, all with a festive holiday twist.

Audiences can expect an unforgettable night filled with big hair, boombox beats, and the dazzling spirit of the ’80s as CGMC performs a variety of holiday-inspired hits from the decade. Totally ’80s HoliGAY is an energetic celebration of music and community, with the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus putting its own spin on timeless classics.

“We’re so excited to bring back the spirit of the ’80s in a way only CGMC can,” said James J. Morehead, Artistic Director of CGMC. “From neon costumes to beloved tunes, this show is all about capturing the energy, joy, and fun of that unforgettable decade while giving audiences a warm, holiday experience.”

Totally ’80s HoliGAY promises to be a highlight of the holiday season, welcoming audiences of all backgrounds to join CGMC in this unique celebration. Tickets are now on sale through the Harris Theater and North Shore Center box offices and through CGMC for Beverly Arts Center performances.
