LGBTQ+ Ally Eugene Levy Travels the World on ‘The Reluctant Traveler’
So, what has Emmy Award winner Eugene Levy been up to since the hilarious series Schitt’s Creek wrapped up its final season? Well, we can tell you he’s been doing a bit of globetrotting for the Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler! Levy is the host and executive producer for the travel series. He takes viewers along with him as he visits some of the world’s most beautiful and intriguing destinations.
The eight-episode series takes viewers to Costa Rica, Finland, Italy, Japan, Maldives, Portugal, South Africa, and the United States to explore incredible hotels and the places and cultures around them.
Self-confessed not your typical show host – Levy’s not usually adventurous or well-versed in travel, but he agrees the time is finally right for him to broaden his horizons. Levy packs his suitcase with some trepidation but hopes his experiences might lead to a whole new chapter in life, even if it means confronting some of his long-held fears. Join him as he buckles up for the ultimate eye-opening adventure.
Throughout the season, you’ll see Levy get sumo wrestling training in Tokyo; learn to make peri-peri sauce and do some tile painting in Lisbon; connect with the Navajo Nation in Utah; explores the deadly wildlife in Costa Rica; and go husky sledding and ice fishing in Finland. Yes, in Venice, he does reminisce about working with his son, Daniel Levy, who will live forever in our minds as his Schitt’s Creek character, David. We have to be honest that while we watched the show, we could only imagine some of the funny quips that would flow from David if he were on this show. “Oh, David!”
