LGBTQ-owned Dive N Ride Adventures Heads to Spain, Portugal, and Mexico
More than a year ago, entrepreneur Lisa Malachowsky opened her new travel agency, Dive N Ride Adventures, LLC to provide tours for LGBTQ+ travelers and their allies who scuba dive, ride motorcycles, or enjoy both activities. The new travel agency is a member of the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA) and the Gifted Travel Network (GTN). Relationships with these two organizations provide Dive N Ride with the opportunity to “create the most unique, culturally immersive travel experiences on motorcycles or while scuba diving.”
In addition to owning her travel agency, Malachowsky is a seasoned motorcycle rider with more than 40 years of riding and who also worked as an instructor for Total Control in California. As a member of the Women’s Coalition of Motorcyclists (WCM), she champions the fight to improve the motorcycle industry. Malachowsky is a certified Professional Association of Driving Instructors (PADI), an assistant scuba instructor, well-traveled, and she also focuses on LGBTQ+ issues through her political advocacy work.
The pandemic caused an obstacle for her new travel agency which is designed to offer a different travel experience. “With COVID-19 under better control, what better time than now to fill a gap in the travel industry by providing sustainable, authentic, and community outreach-focused tours for our clients,” said Malachowsky. “I anticipate providing four personally escorted tours each year and providing signature travel consulting using my deep knowledge of world travel while being an LGBTQ+ person.” She wants her clients to feel welcomed and deeply connected to the destinations they visit.

Motorcycling in Portugal and Spain
When: September 8-23, 2023
Where: Portugal and Spain, the Douro Valley, and the Pyrenees
Trip: 16 days, 15 Nights, 14 riding days
Price: Base price of $6,960 includes motorcycle rental, hotel, most meals
Visit the Douro Valley, where Port wine comes from. The LGBTQ-friendly, small-group motorcycle riders will cross into Spain to see historic towns dating back to the Roman Empire. Explore the breathtaking Pyrenees Mountain range with its unique Basque culture and heritage. The group’s final stop will be on the southern coast to sink their toes into the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.

Southern Safari Scuba on Quino El Guardian
When: December 1-10, 2023
Where: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Trip: 8 days (approximately 4 dives each day)
Price: $3500 ($1,000 deposit)
A group of up to 15 people will join Dive N Ride Adventures and our founder Lisa Malachowsky and the crew of the Quino el Guardian on an underwater safari in the southern Sea of Cortez. Usually, this is a six-day trip, but this will be eight days of diving, where guests will see orcas, giant schools of Mobula rays, and colorful tropical fish. You’ll explore Isla Los Islotes, where you will encounter a massive colony of friendly sea lions, and Isla El Bajo, known for its schools of hammerhead sharks. Guests on this scuba diving adventure will also dive to experience Isla Espiritu Santo and wrecks Fang Ming and Salvaterra, Isla Las Animas, Isla Los Islotes, and Isla Cerralvo, known as Jacques Cousteau Island. You’ll also get to do a night dive with Mobula rays. It’s a scuba diving voyage you don’t want to miss!
