Celebrate Pride with tea at the Scotland Yard Hotel London


London Town is gearing up for London Pride, which will begin on Saturday, July 1, 2023. So, celebrate Pride with tea like a true citizen of the United Kingdom!

Five-star Great Scotland Yard Hotel London, is launching a sumptuous afternoon tea and delectable cocktail available from June 28 – July 2, to celebrate the annual, dynamic, Pride event.

The Pride Afternoon Tea will take place in The Parlour, a relaxed lounge in the luxury hotel, which draws on tales of Britain’s Victorian explorers. Guests will indulge in finger sandwiches such as ‘Chicken beetroot coronation on brown bread’ and ‘Egg truffle mayo and chervil on briochette’. As well as dining on an assortment of delicate pastries and cakes, created by Great Scotland Yard Hotel’s Head Pastry Chef, Verónica Garrido Martínez, including delicious ‘Layered rainbow cake’, ‘Raspberry macaroon’ and ‘Summer love mousse’.


The hotel’s signature cocktail bar, The 40 Elephants, will also launch a special Pride cocktail, ‘Rainbow Rhapsody’, served over the five-day period. The mouth-watering Rainbow Rhapsody cocktail combines Crystal Head vodka, Mandarin, Peach, Citrus, Vanilla, and Prosecco, garnished with rainbow sprinkles. On July 1st, The 40 Elephants will offer two-for-one on Rainbow Rhapsody to celebrate the memorable day.

Over the exciting five-day Pride period, the hotel will also be providing Crystal Head Vodka minis in bedrooms for Pride bookings, guests will be encouraged to take these down to the bar where they can redeem the Pride cocktail.

When making bookings, guests can also input ‘PRIDEP’ in the special offer code box when booking a room, this will unlock the June Pride offer, including breakfast for two (up to 50 USD), a complimentary Rainbow Rhapsody cocktail, and late check-out, upon availability.


Great Scotland Yard Hotel will be donating £1 per Pride Afternoon Tea sold over the period to Akt, an LGBTQ+ youth homeless charity that provides safe homes and better futures for young people. One pound per Pride cocktail will also go to Kaleidoscope Trust, an international human rights charity founded in 2011, fighting for the human rights of LGBTQ+ people across the Commonwealth and beyond.

Pride offerings at the hotel can be booked online or by calling 0207 9254 700. Pricing starts at £59 (USD $74.84) for a standard Pride Afternoon Tea booking and £70 (USD $88.79) for a Champagne booking. Rainbow Rhapsody cocktail is priced at £11 (USD $13.95).
