Brandi Carlile Headlines Out & About Festival

The Out & About Festival will be taking place at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts June 24 & 25 in Vienna, Virginia.

Headlined by multi-Grammy award winning superstar Brandi Carlile, the festival will feature performances from the likes of Rufus Wainwright, Yola, Lucius, Celisse, Jake Wesley Rogers, Bad Moves, Brandy Clark and Oh He Dead. As it takes place right at the pinnacle of Pride season, the aim of the event is to celebrate pride by highlighting LGBTQ+ artists and allies who “live out loud”.

Wolf Trap is the nation’s only national park for the performing arts. The Filene Center is at the heart of the park, a beautiful outdoor amphitheater that has played hosts to the likes of musical legends such as Diana Ross, Ringo Star and Lyle Lovett in addition to pop stars like Demi Lovato and Robyn. Several jazz greats, opera singers and symphonies have played there as well making it the perfect home for the Out & About Festival.

The event will be spread out over the entire grounds of the park to include two additional stages for performers besides the Filene Center: the Meadow Stage and the Children’s Theater in the Woods (for those wishing to make the festival a family affair). The children’s shows require separate tickets and begin at 10:30 AM both days while the music lineup for adults gets rolling at about 4PM.
