Award-Winning Air India Unveils Nonstop Delhi to New York Flight

Air India is celebrating its first nonstop flight from Delhi to New York, plus a major award for its new inflight entertainment.

Air India unveiled its A350-900 aircraft on the daily non-stop route between Delhi and New York’s JFK. The Indian flagship airline marked the arrival of the Airbus A350 on US soil for the first time, connecting the two globally renowned cities. Air India’s A350 is now the only non-stop service between India and the United States to offer private suites in Business Class. Each suite provides full lie-flat beds, sliding privacy doors, direct aisle access, and personal wardrobes. There are 28 suites in double and single configuration.

It comes as Air India was awarded the title of Asia’s Leading Airline Inflight Entertainment 2024 at the prestigious World
Travel Awards (WTA) held this year in Manila. This is the first time that an Indian airline has won this title.

The award recognizes the full suite of Inflight Entertainment (IFE) content curated by Air India and is available on the airline’s Airbus A350s presently serving the Delhi-Heathrow route, which has commenced to New York (JFK). The same offering will be featured on the 64 new widebody aircraft on firm order, as well as the legacy widebody aircraft as they undergo full interior retrofit of seats and entertainment systems.
