Annual LGBTQ+ Events in Miami

As the LGBTQ+ scene in Miami continues to grow and expand, so does the list of events that celebrate and uplift the queer community. 

TransArt (January)

An exhibit that brings together a collection of talents, individuals & artistic genres to create awareness, nurture aspiring artists and enlighten the general population about the many layers of the trans community.


Gay8 Festival (February)

Celebrate LGBTQ+ art, music, and food on the streets of Little Havana at the most prominent Hispanic LGBTQ+ festival in the country. This one-day festival created to help people make meaningful connections attracts close to 80,000 revelers from around the world.


Wigwood (February)

This three-day queer and drag culture festival takes place across Miami, but Wynwood’s beloved Gramps is home to most of its events. Attendees can expect performances from the best local talent and national and international stars from the queer community, including drag performers and artists of all kinds.

Rainbow Spring (March-June)

The LGBTQ+ welcome mat is out especially loud and proud in Miami Beach during Rainbow Spring. Watch for the variety of smaller events happening during this time.


Winter Party (March)

Enjoy a week-long music, dance, and community celebration featuring an extraordinary lineup of celebrity DJs, with parties and events that draw a crowd of over 10,000 partygoers. All benefit the National LGBTQ Task Force and local LGBTQ+ organizations.


OUTshine Film Festival (April)

Take part in a weeklong celebration that offers historical and contemporary perspectives on the LGBTQ+ experience through film. This preeminent showcase for LGBTQ+ films shines a light on talented LGBTQ+ filmmakers and films ranging from full-length features to short films and documentaries with screenings across different venues in Miami.


Miami Beach Pride (April)

The LGBTQ+ community and allies show their pride and support throughout the week at events ranging from dance parties, a VIP gala, beach festivals, pool parties, a music festival, and the highly-anticipated parade down South Beach’s iconic Ocean Drive that draws a crowd of over 100,000 spectators.

Out in the Tropics (April-June)

A performing arts series providing a platform for boldly original LGBTQ artists that explores the topics of gender politics, sexuality, and the LGBTQ identity across dance, theater, music, writing, and performance art at venues throughout Greater Miami and Miami Beach.


SweetHeat (May)

Created by women for women, this celebration features multiple days and nights of events across Miami that make an exciting, judgment-free zone for all women.


Wynwood Pride (June)

Every year, Wynwood Art District hosts Wynwood Pride, an LGBTQ+ music and entertainment festival focusing on diversity, activism, and culture with performances, art installations, and more.

Celebrate Orgullo (October)

This two-week festival during National Hispanic Heritage Month showcases Hispanic LGBTQ+ Pride. Celebrate the local and international Hispanic and indigenous LGBTQ+ community through a series of events that are free and open to the public. 


URGE Miami Festival (November)

URGE Miami Festival, the “biggest gay international event,” is the ultimate gay dance festival that attracts partygoers from around the world for five days of non-stop fun across Greater Miami and Miami Beach. 


Art Gaysel (December)

This unique showcase of LGBTQ+ artists takes over Hotel Gaythering during Art Basel Miami Beach and Miami Art Week. Explore three floors of exhibitions and discover, connect, and support local LGBTQ+ artists free of charge.


Weekly Events

There are also plenty of events happening every night of the week across Miami at popular spots like Hotel Gaythering, The Palace South BeachTwist, and Azucar.
