Amtrak Partners with Out Professionals to Fill 4000 Jobs
Riding the rails is about to get a lot gayer thanks to a new partnership between Out Professionals and Amtrak.
As the country and travel industry strives to regain normalcy in the post-pandemic era we find ourselves in, jobs are slowly being added to the burgeoning economy by profitable employers. Amtrak is one such employer looking to fill a staggering 4,000 positions with the help of Out Professionals.
Out Professionals is a nonprofit career, networking, and education organization for LGBTQ professionals. Their partnership with Amtrak will help champion a new Out Pro chapter in Washington DC. As part of Amtrak’s partnership, employees of Amtrak, including their ExpressPride Employee Resource Group (ERG,) will receive complimentary memberships to Out Pro, which entitles them to free attendance at networking and career-building events, a skills-building library, and more. Amtrak can also recruit employees from Out Pro’s diverse membership which will enable Amtrak to help find new employees with networking opportunities and tools for career advancement.
