For the first time, Spain won the Mister Global men’s grand slam title! Miguel Angel Lucas Carrasco (seen below), from Toledo, Spain, was awarded the honorary sash at the end of the 7th Mister Global Pageant on Tuesday, March 15, in Maha Sarakham. Felicitats, Miguel!
Unfortunately, that means that DJ Davids, an out model and fitness trainer, didn’t win the competition repping as Mister Global USA (@misterglobal.usa). He’s the second photo to the right of the reigning champ.
To be honest, we’re more captivated by the fabulous national costumes each of the 33 contestants modeled during the competition, including DJ Davids.
He explains his patriotic costume on Instagram: “Reimaged with colors of liberty and decorated with iconic symbols of American culture, the Soaring Liberty Warrior costume was inspired by the values of a nation that fights for freedom and prides in achievement of ‘E pluribus unum,’ out of many, one.”
Now, if we can get something similar for curvy women, beefy bears, or a global LGBTQ+ competition with more substance. That would be amazing! of course, Vacationer is all about body being body positive, but we can stop looking at some of the over-the-top national costumes donned by the diverse group of contestants at the Mister Global Pageant. Take a look!
