How You Can Support LGBTQ+ Ukrainians
At Vacationer Magazine, we try to stay out of the fray of politics for the most part and keep it light with inspirational content that celebrates the diversity of our community and provides a safe space for how, where, and why we travel.
However, there’s always an opportunity to take the initiative to help Queer people in need – like supporting LGBTQ+ Ukrainians. Our hearts go out to the millions of displaced people in this unfortunate conflict.
We join IGLTA (International LGBTQ+ Travel Association) in spreading the word to encourage making donations that support LGBTQ+ Ukrainians, including these organizations.
Accept (Romania), All Out (Funding LGBTQ+ organizations on the ground in Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Moldova, and Poland for safe spaces for queer refugees from Ukraine), Budapest Pride (assisting LGBTQ+ refugees coming to Hungary), Safe Place International (Establishing safe houses in Romania), and TGEU (Transgender Europe lists a number of resources that assist transgender Ukrainians).
You may also want to consider supporting Rainbow Railroad, which helps displaced LGBTQ+ people globally year-round to find safety through emergency relocation, and ILGA-Europe’s work to support LGBTQ+ asylum seekers in Europe.

The USA is about to accept Ukraine refugees. Is there an organization in the US that can help people who can accept them connect ?
I would start by reaching out to organizations like QUA (https://qua.community) or Outright Action International (https://outrightinternational.org/ukraine) to see if they know how you can help Ukraine refugees coming to the U.S.
