Arosa Gay Ski Week 2022

Are you ready for Arosa Gay Ski Week?! The annual event is touted as “Europe’s favorite Queer Ski Pride Week.” More than 600 people are expected to converge in Arosa, Switzerland to enjoy a variety of winter activities on January 22 – 29, 2022.

Arosa Gay Ski Week includes daily Après-skis, fine dining, drag shows, fun cabaret nights, and dance parties with international guest DJs. Everyone is invited! Lesbians, twinks, hot daddies, drag queens, and snow studs get together daily to mix it up from breakfast all the way to the late nightcaps.

Editor’s Note: Those who travel are strongly encouraged to check local government restrictions, rules, and safety measures related to COVID-19 and take personal comfort levels and health conditions into consideration before traveling.

If you didn’t already know, Arosa is located on a wide sunny plateau in the middle of the Swiss Alps at an altitude of almost 6,000 feet. Imagine seven sparkling alpine days with fresh powder and breathtaking mountain views.

It’s a popular winter event where LGBTQ+ travelers – usually from more than 30 countries and of all ages – can indulge in a one-of-a-kind Swiss fondue dinner, followed by a memorable sleigh ride at night. And where attendees can enjoy the queer camaraderie, making new friends in front of the fireplace of a chalet while warming up with a mug or glass of hot mulled wine.

All the action for this special LGBTQ+ event takes place in the country’s winter sports region of Arosa Lenzerheide, offering one of the biggest and most accessible ski areas in Switzerland.  There are more than 140 miles of runs spread over two beautiful valleys and a fun snow park for guests to enjoy.

The trail network, largely above the tree line, is crowned by the Weisshorn and the Rothorn, from the top, where there are spectacular views all around. The slopes in the ski area are suitable for all levels of difficulty, whether you’re a beginner or a skilled skier. The resort and ski area are easily accessible by road or train with quick and hourly transfers from Zurich Airport.

Don’t Ski? No problem! There are fantastic instructors if you want to learn, but there is also a non-skier program that includes snowshoeing, sledding, ice skating, and horse sleigh riding.
