The Down & Derby Wine Festival Returns on May 4
On Saturday, May 4th, the Down & Derby Wine Festival will make its highly anticipated return to South New Jersey. Come enjoy the fruit of the vine in the great outdoors from 2 to 7 PM.
Sample delicious wines from South Jersey’s leading wine producers while immersing yourself in Derby themed fashion and festivities at the Fourth Annual Down And Derby Wine Festival presented by the Camden County Board of Commissioners and Visit South Jersey.
You will enjoy a great day filled with music, food, games and of course, some of the best wines from South Jersey Wineries. The event is especially keen to welcome in members of the LGBTQ+ community, so if you’re in the area you definitely don’t want to miss it! Be sure to dress in your finest Derby Day Attire and find your next favorite wine!
This year will feature a larger festival site with extra space to enjoy the wine tasting and the 2024 Down and Derby Wine Festival will offer attendees the opportunity to feast on delicious flavors from local food trucks, win prizes for being “best dressed,” and lots of live entertainment. The Secret Service Band, formed in 1983, will be headlining the event. Band members Dom Albanese and Craig Phillips have been thrilling audiences for over three decades with music spanning all genres and decades.
Veterans Island on Cooper River Park is a stone’s throw from Philadelphia, (just over the Delaware River) and New York to Philly is approximately an hour on the train; so its a great day out or a perfect part of a weekend trip to the South New Jersey Region!
