Queensland Welcomes the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour
The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ Trophy Tour will captivate football fans across Queensland as it continues its biggest journey across the world to spread excitement and anticipation for the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand™.
As part of a game-changing global schedule, the Original Trophy will touch down in southeast Queensland on June 28 and spend four days taking in the breathtaking views of the Sunshine State.
The Original Trophy will arrive in Queensland having already amassed more than 74,500 miles on its journey to each of the 32 qualified countries to build excitement and support ahead of next month’s tournament.
With a vibrant line-up of events and iconic locations, the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Trophy Tour promises to unite communities and ignite the passion for women’s football across the state.
The Queensland leg of the Trophy Tour will kick off in Brisbane/Meaanjin, the home of eight exhilarating fixtures at Brisbane Stadium.
Kristine Lilly, FIFA Legend, and two-time World Cup champion with the USA, will join delegates from Football Australia and Football Queensland in welcoming the Trophy to Brisbane/Meaanjin before the tour travels to beautiful Moreton Island to traverse the sand dunes and soak in the iconic scenery.
The Trophy will continue its journey to the Sunshine Coast stopping at WinterFest23, the state’s largest junior football carnival, before it heads south to the picturesque Burleigh Beach.
As the Original Trophy travels from stop to stop, Matildas Alumni and Future Matildas will join forces with grassroots and local heroes to highlight the game’s emerging talent and stoke the flames ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™.

Football powerhouses England will take on Haiti on 22 July in Brisbane / Meaanjin’s first match of the 64-game international tournament.
Brisbane Stadium has five Group Stage games plus a round-of-16 knock-out match and a quarter-final before hosting the bumper third-place play-off on 19 August.
In the Group Stage alone, matches will feature Australia’s beloved Matildas as well as powerhouse footballing nations England, France, Germany, and Brazil.
The Tour will wrap up its Australian leg in Adelaide/Tartanya and Perth/Boorloo before crossing the ditch and concluding in Wellington/ Te Whanganui-a-Tara, NZ, six days out from tournament kick-off. But for now, check out the Trophy Tour Schedule below!
