The Golden Girls Kitchen is Coming to a City Near You

After its success in Los Angeles, The Golden Girls Kitchen, a fully immersive restaurant based on the beloved series is preparing to take the show on the road, so to speak.

The restaurant is a collaboration between Bucket Listers and their very own Director of Experiences, Derek Berry, who was the man behind the Saved by the Max, Good Burger, and Peach Pit nostalgia pop-ups of years past. The Beverly Hills location opened back on July 30, which just also happened to be National Golden Girls Day. From inception, the intention was to take the restaurant on tour to New York City, San Francisco, Miami, and Chicago, and happily, now’s the time.

Although no official opening dates or locations have been announced for the other cities, you can visit their official website to sign up for the waitlist of the city of your choice to be notified when tickets go on sale. NYC is scheduled to open up this fall with San Francisco and Miami to follow during the winter. Chicago is scheduled for a Spring 2023 grand opening. In the meantime, tickets are available at the Los Angeles location up until November 20.

Each ticket you buy includes a 90-minute reservation to the restaurant as well as your choice of a Golden Main Dish + Slice of Cheesecake (of course!). Main Dishes include Sophia’s Lasagna Al Forno, The Lanai (A Miami Style Cuban Sandwich), The Bacon Lettuce Potato Sandwich, and the Rose Marie Combo. There will be additional sides, desserts, beverages, and even exclusive Golden Girls Kitchen merchandise to add on arrival. The menu was created by Executive Chef Royce Burke, of Dino’s Famous Chicken, Secret Lasagna, and Wyldefire Hot Sauce.

The Golden Girls Kitchen Menu

As far as what it will look like inside, all we have to go on is the LA setup. Upon walking in, fans are immediately greeted by a bartender at the Shady Pines bar. Once further inside you will come to a replica of the ladies’ kitchen counter, complete with a yellow wall phone. Behind the dining room is a recreation of Blanche’s bedroom, complete with a banana leaf bedspread and wallpaper. It is unclear if the other locations will have the exact same layout, but chances are good.

Fans of the show have thus far been delighted by the restaurant which offers multiple seatings daily and even drag brunches every other Sunday. It is the perfect venue for a fun day or night out for queer fans of the show and lovers of all things “Golden”.

Dorothy, Sophia, Blanche, and Rose are waiting! Click here to stay up to date with all the latest happenings and to book your tickets.
