Southwest Pilot Threatens to Cancel Flight Over AirDropped Nudes

The internet has been buzzing since a TikTok video of a Southwest pilot threatening to cancel a flight after someone AirDropped a naked photo of themselves to other passengers went viral.

The video was shared by TikTok user Teighlor Marsalis (@teighmars) and as of September 1 accumulated 3 million views.

“So here’s the deal, if this continues while we’re on the ground I’m going to have to pull back to the gate, everybody’s going to have to get off, we’re going to have to get security involved and … vacation is going to be ruined,” the pilot said over the intercom.

“So you folks, whatever that AirDrop thing is, quit sending naked pictures and let’s get yourself to Cabo.” He continued.

The flight was from Houston Texas to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Marsalis, in an interview with CNN, said she declined the photo but that the two women in front of her accepted it and showed her the photo, which was of a naked man.

Apparently, the mystery man AirDropped his photo to everyone aboard the aircraft which upset an unnamed female passenger who reported the incident to a flight attendant.

“The safety, security and wellbeing of customers and employees is the Southwest team’s highest priority at all times. When made aware of a potential problem, our employees address issues to support the comfort of those traveling with us,” Southwest Airlines said in a statement to NBC News.

After the pilot’s announcement a flight attendant went around to check on all the passengers and ten minutes later the cabin crew proceeded with safety demonstrations and the plane took off without further incident.

No word yet on who the digital flasher was or what his motives were, but I think we can all agree to save the pic swapping for the apps.
