OUTLOUD Music Festival Returns to Downtown Nashville

Attention queer music lovers! Get ready for the return of the OUTLOUD Music Festival as it makes its return to downtown Nashville. OUTLOUD Music Festival was created to celebrate LGBTQ+ and ally musicians/artists, and this year, it all goes down on Saturday, September 16 from 4-11 pm.

Organizers bring together both national touring acts and regional up-and-coming musicians every year as a way to showcase the most diverse talent possible in various cities, including Los Angeles.

In its seventh year, the one-day, diverse music-centric festival in downtown Nashville is proud to announce Swedish pop sensation Icona Pop as the headliner for the 2023 event. The duo of best friends Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, Sweden’s Icona Pop bring a carefree energy to dance music, including their 2012 smash single “I Love It” which was one of the year’s biggest songs and loved by a global audience. Icona Pop remained in the charts with “Emergency,” “Next Mistake” and a string of singles with dance music luminaries ranging from Ultra Naté with “You’re Free” to Galantis with “I Want You”.

Icona Pop is set to release its new album Club Romantech on September 1 just a few weeks before this festival. The first single off the new album “Where Do We Go From Here” is a catchy dose of Europop as the pair sing in unison over dizzying beats according to Rolling Stone.

In addition to Icona Pop, The Aces, Brooke Eden, Thelma and the Sleaze, Marielle Kraft, ISMAY, The Kentucky Gentlemen, and Daena will also be part of the exciting lineup. The festival will also feature drag performances by Venus Ann Serena, Justine Van De Blair, Delta Granta with DJ Manrelic dropping beats throughout the day.
